Male cheerleaders can wear competition tops, spirit shirts, or basic polos as their uniform. We recommend finding a customizable top that can pair with any comfortable workout pants to ensure they match the rest of the squad.

Do male cheerleaders use poms?

Some routines require poms as part of the men’s cheer uniform. However, many men are on the team to help with lifts or show off unique tumbling skills, so poms are not an essential part of their outfit. However, we recommend having poms on hand for the guys on your team, just in case they enhance parts of your choreography.

How are men’s uniforms different than women’s options?

Typically, men just need uniform shirts that match basic pants. These shirts are broader in the shoulders and tapered at the waist for a streamlined cut that doesn’t get in the way of a performance. Men’s shirts are made of the same materials as women’s uniforms to ensure extra stretch, moisture-wicking, and comfort.
